For hotels and guest houses listed on Booking.com. The card opens your property page, so guests can save it, book their next stay or see what other guests wrote.

What happens when someone taps it

They hold their phone near the card and your Booking.com property page opens. Phones without NFC scan the QR code on the back instead. Nobody types an address or installs an app.

Booking.com rules to know

How Booking.com reviews work: Booking.com says the only way to leave a review is to first make a booking; reviews come from guests who booked through Booking.com, through Booking.com’s own invitation after the stay. The card cannot let other people review you. At check-out, you can mention that Booking.com will invite them to review. Source: Booking.com guest reviews.

The card makes it easier for a customer to reach your page. It does not guarantee reviews or ratings.

Questions

Does the customer need an app? No. The phone reads the card, or the QR code, and opens the link. On newer Android phones a small “open link” notification appears first; tap it.

Will guests who booked directly be able to review on Booking.com? No. For direct bookings, a Google or Tripadvisor card is the better choice.
